Felt like a typical Sunday
Sunday, November 18, 2012
Well, I'm up and ready to go to church but dad's not up yet. If he's not up by 8:30am, I guess that I will be walking. I hope that our neighbor doesn't have his dogs out. Our neighborn next door has 3 dogs about the size that attacked me about 2 months ago.
I hope the knuckle on my middle finger on my left hand heals soon. I was getting parts for the garage here in town while dad was getting himself a cup of coffee, I was going t omeet him when I hit my knuckle (the middle one on the middle finger) right into the metal door. I told dad that he could of heard me cuss even though we werent too far apart. It all happened Friday afternoon. It hurts every once in a while.
It doesn't seem possible that Thanksgiving is 4 days away from now. My family had something happen that day and a birthday. My mom's dad passed away on Thanksgiving in 1985 and it would of been my great aunt (my mom's dad's sister). Plus it was a tragedy for our country. JFK was killed that day. My mom was in the 7th grade and they had a band concert (my mom played the flute and so do I) that was almost cancelled. They did in memory of JFK.
I went ahead and put the cat into his pet taxi so I can get things done around the hosue before going to church this morning. Right now I'm on the computer. Plus I can hear if my dad is getting up. So far, no sound coming from his room yet. He may surprise me and get up.
Dad got up and is in the bathroom. It'll be a while until he's done in there. At least I won't be sitting alone when we go to church.
I got to play a music CD in my new computer last night. I played my Neil Diamond Three Chord Opera CD and it sounded great.
Made it to church on time this morning. Next Sunday is when we get our chruch ready for Advent and Christmas.
I'm taking apart a leftover yarn afghan. This is the leftover yarn afghan that got holes in it when I washed it. So I'm taking it apart and using the yarn in the leftover yarn afghan I'm crocheting.
I've sold another Christmas stocking. First is was to a former mechanic for the garage here in town (he works for a parts store in another town) and this one that I sold is to a classmate of mine from high school. She saw a picture that I posted on Facebook and she wants one. She wants to give it to a friend as a late birthday/Christmas gift. I won't see her until after the first of the month when she's in town. Plus she's not sure on the color she wants.
