Yesterday I earned my black belt in tae kwon do!
This has been a long time in coming. I started in tae kwon do in 2009 and honestly never thought I'd get to the point where I'd be testing for a black belt. Just because I'm not naturally a fighter or terribly coordinated for that matter; however, as I kept practicing, I learned there's much more to tae kwon do than meets the eye.

As I said in my last blog, I've been really concentrating on this test and my regular routine has kind of gone to the wayside. Sometimes I feel that I'm just going to continue getting bigger and bigger and it seems almost impossible to get to the weight I'd like. But now I look at what I've accomplished in tae kwon do, something I never thought I'd be able to do. It took commitment and self-discipline, much like weight loss does. If I can do that, I can do anything.
