food shopping :-)

I like being nosy and seeing what other people buy so here is my offering! :-)

a picture of my bi weekly food shop (ill top up with other bits and pieces as the week goes on.)

what you are looking at.

Coke Zero
Roast Potato Seasoning
Light soy Sauce
some naughty little extras that make things work for me :-)

Skimmed Milk
Fat Free Plain Greek Yogurt
Light Laughing Cow Blue Cheese Wedges
Fat Free Coconut Greek Yogurt
(Greek Yogurt is one of my fav sources of protein!)

Chicken Breast
Ham and Pinapple
Smoked Haddock and sauce
Ready to eat Mustard crusted ham
Ready to eat Spicy Chicken Breast (nice to have quick to snack on protien)
Reduced Fat Brussels Pate (most satisfying snack on toast EVER!)
Honey Roast Ham
(A lot of ham this week! more then I think I have EVER bought in one go... a lot of this is ready to eat/ready to cook prepared meat. none of it is labeled low calorie, but I have figured out over time to not always just look to thinks marked healthy, because there are a lot of really good options that don't meet "Light" or "Healthy Choice" labels but are still good options)

Massive seeded grapes (the size of ping pong balls!)
Mango
Pineapple
Cranberries (to make low sugar cranberry sauce)
(yes i pay the money for ready cut up fruit occasionally... sometimes it is worth it.

Celery
Green Onion
Yellow Onion
Cabbage
Potatoes
Garlic
Carrot and swede mix
Carrots (I know I have a busy week and I HATE peeling carrots!)
Salad
beans
Tinned Tomatoes (yes.. i know... tin can + Tomato = bad bad bad.... but today there was not another good option)

it's crazy how my shopping habits have changed
like physically ...
I only shop in the front 1/4 of the store.. before I would do most of my shopping in the other 3/4!

    it cost around 40 which is quite an expensive shop for me. lots of special extras this time like the cranberries (3!) and a lot of protein. but it will last me around 2 weeks, including some top ups of more veg. ill cook the chicken breasts later in the week and shred some of it up for salad/ wraps, snacks... and ill freeze some of it for future use. a lot of the veg is to make a big pot of cabbage soup... I really like cabbage soup! so ill eat some if it through the next while, and freeze the rest for next week.

    You have some good eats there! I always eat the same boring things over and over. I need to start branching out with some new to me good foods.

Oh and I just saw your comment on my page about my 2nd Dinner in my food tracker. lol It makes me feel like I am really indulging everyday what with my 2nd Dinner and 2nd Snack! lmao

    Greek yogurt is my favorite! Though I always get the full fat kind whenever possible, and the 2% for my breakfast yogurt (because the brand I like doesn't have full fat available).

    How much did this all cost? How long will this food last you? Just curious. But we all need to change our eating habits.
