Friday I worked and took as an 'official rest day'. I've been worried about taking a rest day as one rest day can turn into 3, 4 or so on. Friday I think maybe the good day to have a planned rest day as Saturday are swim class days that I've payed for and get's me right back at it. And we do all know that rest days are important. And I was by then feeling that I needed to let my legs recover for a bit.
Saturday morning up bright and early to go swimming. Got a good 1 1/2 swim in. My form and technic seam to be good. I may be moving up to a different lane after the holidays. I most likely won't be at swim lessons next week as we will be out of town.
After Swim lessons I had to go to Costco for groceries. Now that's a adventure on a normal day add that it's right after the 15th and on a Saturday, and the weekend before thanksgiving. OH MY! I thought they opened at 10:00 am. It's not far from swimming so I went as soon as I was done. Got there at 9;30. Figured I'd wait and be one of the first ones in and hope to be out before it got too crazy! Imagine my delight when I got there and saw they were OPENED! Not too many people there yet. I was able to get in and out by 10:00 am!
Then came the football game.
My team didn't play as good as they have been. They are hurt and it showed. It was a close hard fought game. I couldn't take it. The weather had cleared and so I went for walk around the park in my back yard. For about 45 min! Got the extra calorie burn done!
Sunday morning we got up and it was bike ride day. We picked the walking/bike path to do as the wind and rain are upon us. It's a bit safer to do it on the trail. It wasn't too bad until we came back. The last 10 miles where rainy and windy with side gust. In the end we did 28 miles @ 13.5 mph average speed. Not the best but I guess adding in the weather factor not too bad. My legs felt good at the end too.
Tonight we are headed to find out about the triclub team that I may join. It maybe something that I join next year, but today I want to go and find out about it.
On another note I think the scale maybe inching down!
