Starting week 8: Somewhat proud

I almost got another 2 lbs gone last week! I lost 1.6 lbs. I obviously hoped for a full 2 lbs but hey! Any progress is still progress.

There's not much to say about the last week - it was mostly just the same old stuff...

Still somewhat dreading the holidays! I really have to steel myself against all the temptations that are going to present themselves... Just gotta tell myself I CAN DO IT! I have an idea that might help me - I think I'll make a promise that I will take a picture of the plate of food I get at each gathering I go to - there are 2 this weekend! - and post them in next week's blog. So since I'll feel like someone is watching me (my spark blog!) I'll be more inclined to pick healthy foods and eat less. And if I do over eat, then I'll post pictures anyway to show myself what I did!

So anyway, I am really happy that I've managed 7 weeks of faithful dedication to getting healthier. I may have had quite a few bumpy spots in the road but I got past them and progressed further - I didn't let it discourage me! (that's why I'm a little proud of myself)

So here's to a healthier self (you included!) emoticon

    Good luck! Remember to treat yourself with other rewards besides food. You can do this!

I went through one Christmas without any sweets at all. I won't do it this year but definitely shows that it's possible.

Great idea to take pictures of your food. It will also force you to slow down between putting your plate together and into your mouth.
