I have just started training for a 5K, and today was Week 2 Day 3. I so was feeling the pain in my shins, my calf's, and my lungs, and I wanted to just start walking early, but I did NOT give up. I kept pushing myself and telling myself that I am Strong, I am worth it, and I CAN DO IT. Well you know what. I AM strong, I DID finish, and I AM worth it. I did have to repeat the mantra to myself a few times to get it done, but I GOT it done.
One year ago I never would have thought I could be training for a 5K. I didn't have faith in myself, but I am learning that I CAN do it. If I want it bad enough I can get it done. I know anyone reading this has been there and has gone through the same feeling. You know that YOU are the only one who can make this happen for you. You will NEED to have a support system around you of people who are there to help you, but YOU are the only one who can make it happen. Even though people tell me this all the time I GOT it today!! I am making happen for ME!!!
