I can't believe how close Thanksgiving is and of course Black Friday! I'm not sure if I will do Black Friday (or Thursday shopping since that is being advertised as happening even earlier this year) yet since my kids are older and it's getting harder and harder to figure out what to get them.

They are both teenagers so toys and games are not what they are interested in. I've been begging them to give me a Christmas list, but so far much of nothing from either one. Not sure why that is, I would have LOVED for my parents to ask me that question. Heck, I would have LOVED to even have Christmas as I didn't get to have it growing up!

I don't want to waste money and really want to give them what they want, but I want to get it as cheaply as I can, LOL.

I never get anything for Christmas or Mother's Day or even my birthday really so thought that I might get myself a Kindle Fire HD. Anyone have any thoughts on that if they love it or hate it and why?

My daughter has a regular Kindle and she loves it. I've done a little bit of research online and at Amazon, but wasn't sure if I should be going for an I-Pad instead although I can't imagine paying $500 for one. I know they have a mini-IPad, but haven't heard a lot of great things about it.

I'm just relieved I have most of my Thanksgiving items together since it all falls on me for cooking Thanksgiving dinner since we don't visit my family (for obvious reasons, LOL) or my in-laws as they are too far away and my husband usually has to go to work the day after (but not this year, yippee!).
