Day 17 of the 30days Thanksgiving challenge : I'm grateful to be in the Christmas parade representing Calvary Christian Church with my grandchildren & the other YOUTH of Calvary Crusaders for Christ! We reported to the church at 3:00pm to decorate the float and get ready for the parade. We had to move to our position in the parade at 4pm. Our church is not even a mile from the parade route. We were all dressed warmly and had a great time. Aurora fell asleep and was dead weight in my arms for almost 2 hours but other than that all was well. We sang Christmas carols and waved while yelling Merry Christmas. It was a great time and everyone had fun. We saw a lot of folks that we knew. I am so grateful that I got to do this with my grandchildren. It is a memory that we will always cherish.
Today was a good day. We slept in. Then I took DH to work and bought a cd for my eldest granddaughter's birthday party tomorrow. Then it was time to go pick up the granddaughters for the parade, pick up the eldest from a bowling alley where she was at another friend's birthday party. We all got dropped off at the church. Did the parade. Took the granddaughters home after stopping to pick up pizza for them. The rest of the family stayed there because Becca & Sarah (my DIL's) and Savannah, McKenzie and a friend of Savannah's went to see the last Twilight movie. Michael & Kaydon stayed to hang out with Jon. I took Aurora and we went to pick up Grandpapa and then headed home. I lay down for just awhile to elevate my leg because it was hurting and POOF... fell asleep. Sorry I didn't get this written in a timely manner.
My caloric range was LOW. My exercise was also low but more active in different ways than usual so I feel real good about that. I am happy with the day. God is good.
Bright blessings to all. Back to bed now because it's early to rise for Sunday School in the morning. Love ya
