Mild November = Cycling!!!

Saturday, November 17, 2012

Yesterday I got 14 miles on my road bike, and I've still been riding to school every day too, although the weather hasn't been as warm in the morning so I've been driving part of the way to school and then pulling my bike out of the back of the van to ride around campus. It takes a lot of pressure off my foot when I can ride instead of walk everywhere!

Anyway it's amazing how much better I feel when I'm on a bike!!! After I got that ride done, I went on about my day, and it was a pretty crappy day, I won't lie. I had class and I worked at the food pantry, and my husband got the wrong medication and flipped out on the whole family, but through it all, I felt pretty good because I got that morning ride!!! I can't believe it's been in the 50's the past couple of days!!! I'm so thankful for this weather so I can get out and do what I love.

Tomorrow is the Clare House 5K. It is for the food pantry I work at, and I'm excited about it! I'm really focusing on doing the shorter races, as many as I can, so I will be ready for my triathlons next summer. I'm not even convinced that I will be able to run much longer, with all this foot stuff that's happened this past year. I'm trying really hard to hang in there, I'm trying really hard to LIKE it, and I do, usually...just the foot pain gets to me SO MUCH!!! I hope as I continue to lose weight, that it will be less pressure on my foot and the pain will eventually stop!!!

Anyway! I'm pretty happy with my eating. Yesterday I had a slip at b-fast but then reined it in at lunch and dinner...and today, I did good and had veggies at lunch and at dinner, and my husband made pulled pork in the crockpot and I had that without the bun, and I've loaded up on the water again. I'm doing really good. I think tomorrow I'll be ready to start counting again. :)
