OFF TO MARKET WE GO
Saturday, November 17, 2012
Well, we got up early and started out for market. So many things got between us and there. I told Hubby that there was a harness at Marshall's that would not allow Miss Coco to escape again. He said we will stop by there. We had a bill that needed to be mailed, so by the post office we stopped. I tooked at his truck panel and saw that we were low on gas, so he went by the ATM and got cash to put on the gas card so that we would get the discount. Well, all these unusual stops cost us about an hour.
Okay Miss Coco has a harness that she cannot get out of. I took it out of the bag and started getting it ready by letting our the straps here and tightening other straps until it looked like her size. She was really curious. I put it over her head and she got so excited. Something new in clothes for her. I got her all strapped in and made all the adjustment so that it was not too tight here and too loose there. She stode up on my and was wagging her tail when it was all adjusted. Like "look Mom, I have new clothes." I had to attach her old leash because I idd not even think about a new leash.
We got to market and she was so excited. She had to see our neighbor and make sure she noticed her new gear. Then she had to check with all the other girls on each side and show it off. Everyone remarked, well, she will not get out of that one.
We were talking about how much more she is to her old self since we have her off chicken and chicken products. She is frisky, running and just happy to be around all the people again. Before we took her off the chicken she was laying around a lot and sleeping. I was getting worried as she is only four. She was acting like she was 10 years or better.
So glad that she is returning to the fistie little girl that we had a couple of years ago. Her skin is clearing and she has so much more energy. So I guess if her food is $4 to 5 a pound it will have to be.
Market was brisk this morning and then it turned really cold. colder than the weather had predicted. I had on a sweat shirt and a fleece vest to keep the cold off my back. I got really cold and told Hubby I was not sure I could stay. We closed the back door after checking in our order and Hubby locking up the back of his truck. He went across the market to get some really good coffee from the guy that roast it on Wed and Thursday before the market on Sat and Sun. It was a wonderful Columbian. I have become spoiled to really good coffee so I cannot just drink a lot of the stuff on the market. I want one really good cup rather than a pot of mediacore.
When the wind started blowing and it turned really cold all the customers disappeared as I would have., We had a great morning and then almost nothing until we finally packed up and left. I need to find some really warm clothes for in the morning as I am sure it will be cold again.
Hubby and I do not eat the food from the local cafe at the Market. I believe they do not clean their grease, and they do not have anything that is healthy. If it is not fried, etc they do not have it. Hubby left and got a fish sandwich which we splite and he brought us a bowl of clam chowder to split also. This was all that I needed. I really only ate half of the bread. I took the top off and cut the fish and the bottom piece of bread with lots of lemon squeezed on it.
We had fresh made pasta sauce wiht speggitti squash for dinner. Hopefully I did not go over my limit today, I will be tracking soon.
