Get up, Stand up, and Lose 'em (Week 3)

Welcome to my 3rd weekly blog of this thought process where I am making a special effort to be in charge of my own ability to succeed.

In a moment of compromised happiness this week I thought: I work way to hard to be feeling this way and I deserve better!!!! emoticon

So we are a little over halfway through the month, and I still have hundreds of fitness minutes, reps and activity minutes to complete to meet my monthly goals!!! emoticon

And...THE HOLIDAYS ARE COMING!!!! The good news is that I think I got all of the "caving" out of my system and have established a pretty good holiday eating plan in years past so I am ready to fight the temptations. The difficulty I have is keeping an exercise routine with all of the family gatherings and other various things I am involved in with the church and hosting...and shopping. I love this time of year but need to continue remembering to "Get up, Stand up", and take time out for me to get my exercise and balance my mind!!

So here is the plan:

TODAY (SATURDAY): A SP toning or yoga video as I promised to make up to myself earlier this week, and some dumbell work on my arms. emoticon
Meet my calorie goal and get my water! emoticon

SUNDAY: A short walk and some yard work emoticon
Eat right--Remember to not undo my hard work from today.
With the deadly combination of an unexpected Church pancake breakfast and Steeler game food and having to estimate my calories, it looks like I didn't exactly keep in range, but I was diligent about tracking even though it was a busy day. Some Sundays I used to just have a "free for all"...but that's not the case any more. I spaced out my meals and didn't graze.

Was not happy about what I saw on the scale this morning, but it is scary to think what how much higher my intake would have been if I hadn't tracked! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Find my prescription card so I can switch my vitamins!!! emoticon It wasn't in one spot...so I have to go to the basement and dig through boxes...wish me luck!

MONDAY:
Walk on break at work...it will have to be short but I will need it. emoticon

Take a packed lunch to work. emoticon

TUESDAY:
Walk on break at work emoticon
Take a packed lunch emoticon Had to go out of the office. My best decision was not drinking soda...but I could have chosen better.
Make sure I get my water! emoticon

WEDNESDAY:
Hectic travel day...but don't forget the reps.
emoticon Took 30 activity minutes for detailing my car (Taking advantage of the sun!)

Meet my fruit and veggie goals during the day...we are having pizza and wings with my brothers so I need to save as many calories as I can

I didn't meet the goal, but having this reminder to save calories definitely helped me do that emoticon
I really only had time to take drive-by bites of food all day trying to get things ready to go out of town, which also means I didn't have time to track.

THURSDAY:
emoticon HAPPY THANKSGIVING emoticon
Meet my fruit and veggie goals emoticon
Continue my annual tradition of skipping the potatoes emoticon
Meet my water goal -- Close, but emoticon

FRIDAY:
Remember to do my Post Thanksgiving weigh-in emoticon even though it wasn't pretty
Make sure to stay in my calorie range Close, but emoticon
Go for walk...some how someway emoticon Too many errands, and mommy tasks--not enough day light. Made up for it the next day though!!!

SATURDAY:
Go RUN!!! emoticon Due to the cold temperature (30 degrees) and not having had time to walk and loosen up yesterday, I played it safe and just did 1 lap around the track. This was incorporated into a 2 mile walk that I owed myself from the day before.
