today i am going to a dear friend's wedding, and i plan to eat good food, drink delicious drinks, and have a slice of wedding cake.
something that i think derailed me after my impressive transition from weighing 242 pounds to 187 pounds was the FREE DAY.
while some folks seems to benefit from letting go of some control/treating themselves/indulging, i always lost my dang mind and ate as much as i could to make up for all the times i wanted to eat something junky but didn't allow myself. the day after resulted in feeling too hungry and sometimes hungover, too.
today i might eat 2500 calories, and if that happens, it's okay. but i'm gonna track. today i eat what i want but i still have to be cognizant of the potential consequences. i still have to decide if i would rather have a second dinner roll or a third glass of wine.
i feel committed to working hard at making tracking a real habit. (although thanksgiving seems hard AH). but for now-- cucumbers and hummus, GYM, apples and almond butter, errands, and another healthy snack before i embark on tonight's festivities!
