I took Mom to get her hair done. Because the bug guy was coming I kept Mom out of the house for several hours. We drove to Shreveport to an estate sale and then a hoarders house - house full, storage shed, yard full and not one thing worth purchasing. I followed my iPhones directions home and ended up traveling through Louisiana to get back home.
By time we got back home, it was too late to start work; so I headed out to Nacogdoches with my sister to a Ten Thousand Villages International Market at the Presbyterian church. Then we headed to Holiday in the Pines bazaar by Junior Forum...and this was my first mistake. There were tons of frufru items but then there were hand carved, handmade unique items.
Of course I got some interesting gifts and I met really interesting talented people - a WWII vet wood carver (when he signed my piece I knew I had one of the last of his that would ever be made), and forester artist who helped us with information about an Alaskan saw mill DH could use , a young soap maker with a passion for soap.
I hope you are all prepared to bless and be blessed during the Holidays. This is just an amazing world filled with the best and worst of us - I have seen a lot of the best of us on Sparkpeople and I thank God for the blessings you have been.
16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
God bless you to be a blessing and receive blessings.
