My father-in-law worked for Hostess for 35 years. Now, at the age of 60, he has nothing to show for it and has to look for a new job!! So sad!!!!!

I love Twinkies! They will be missed, but not as much as the workers will miss their jobs! emoticon

I didn't eat the Twinkies often, but I loved the Chocolate Cupcakes. Another American icon bites the dust. So much for "economic growth" . . .

The saddest part is all those people who are now without a job.

Twinkies will be around for a long time to come. Someone else with buy the name and continue making them. It's sad for workers as I unfortunately know all too well as my husband worked for them for years and as of today has no job and we have no health insurance :-(

I never really ate them. I'm just sad for all the people who will be losing their jobs.

I used to eat two twinkies at least a day. I haven't done it in twenty years I guess

The news made me very sad --- even though I don't eat the Hostess treats any more, it just makes me sad that they won't be around. emoticon

Haven't had a twinkie in years, but because this news my supervisor brought a bunch into work. I came back from lunch to find one on my desk. She wanted everyone to enjoy one last twinkie. So much for less tempation!

I never thought I'd live to see the day Hostess became an extinct species.

I feel bad for the workers, but YAY for less temptation if they are harder to get.
