This week for one of my teams our challenge was to give up one processed food that you eat and blog about how it made you feel. I chose to give up breakfast cereal, since that's probably the processed food I eat on the most regular basis.
I'm not sure if I feel any different after having gone without breakfast cereal this week. I do seem to have more energy in the morning, but I'm not sure if that's because I just feel better having been exercising, or if that's due to what I'm eating (or not eating). So it's hard to say if this caused a difference in how I feel.
I can say that I'm glad I did this though, because it has caused me to put some thought into what I eat for breakfast. I usually have eaten cereal just because it's quick and easy. But now i realize that there are more choices out there, and I don't just have do stick with cereal every day. I think I'll probably eat breakfast cereal in the future, but not as much as I used to, and probably I'll try to eat healthier, less sugary kinds.
