I guess I'm lucky that I have not seemed to be able to find Hostess goodies in my area. They were my binge foods. My go to foods in California before moving here. I loved the Suzie q's, cupcakes, Twinkies, and omg the fruit filled pies. Here in my area of Oregon I ahve looked. Believe me but could not find them.

The Company is closing.

We have a discount Hostess bakery two blocks from here,, used to go there every week.. mostly for bread and their brand koolaid.. but I do remember some chocolate that may have crossed my lips,,
HOWEVER,, no big deal now,,
If Little debbie swiss rolls went away(I have not had one in five years) I would cry like a girl..

Yep, ding dongs were always my favorites, but being a single mom on a STRICT budget didn't allow for them before, they won't be allowed now either!!! But I do understand the craving!

This reminds me of the time one of my infamous bar haunts burned down not long after I quit drinking. : ) My hope is that the folks who are thrown out of work because of the closing find work elsewhere with as little disruption as possible. My suspicion is that Hostess's recipes and other "intellectual property" will get bought up by other companies and that there will be Twinkie-surrogates out there before long. Either way, what goes into our mouths will still be up to us, just as it is now.

Frozen Ding Dongs or Ho Hos has always been a weaknesses of my mine since I was a child. I also loved Suzy Q's and would gladly choose them over the Hostess or Tasty Cake cupcakes. I also preferred Hostess pies over any other snack pie.

Lucky for me, I am in a good place control-wise and will not go the store and buy any of their products. However I am sure with this closing announcement that many others will.

I've never been a fan of Hostess, but my family has been. Goodbye and good riddance!

I do like their snacks, but I think America's waistline will be thankful for this later.
