Here we are. AGAIN!

Friday, November 16, 2012

So now I am at the weight that I notoriously plateau, get really frustrated and gain it all back. Plus the holidays are here AND I have a 1/2 marathon next Sunday. And since I still haven't figured out the mystery of weight gain after a race....

Crap.

To help combat this I have informed or involved more people than normal of my plans.

Also when some of my habitual saboteur co-workers offer me cake, pizza, brownies or (like today) homemade caramel I tell them no...unless they are planning on helping me stuff my fat ass in a plane seat heading to Scotland. Oh, and I get the arm rest.

I hate to be so blunt with them, but sometimes it is the only thing that gets through. I still have a few that have come back repeatedly even after such answers.

Makes. Me. Crazy.

So here is to not sliding back, not maiming anyone and finishing next weekend's 1/2 marathon with a PR.

    Good for you!
A 1/2 and telling your co-workers where to "put it".

Keep it up! I know you'll do great.

Sometimes you just have to be blunt! I found that I have to as well at work and with family sometimes. It's not always easy, but it's easier then trying to work off the crap I ate. And sometimes, I give in.....the joys of nummy foods!

Take the 1/2 head on, I think it's great that you are doing this! I'd love to get involved with them here, but I keep holding myself back for a few reasons.....nobody to do them with and, well, still not confident in myself to do them - I can't run due to knee problems, so it's a mountain I have to get over myself

Being blunt is one of the best things we can do. Sometimes being nice doesnt cut it.

You win own the 1/2. You will get over your plateau with me. Not literally with me... like, you can't use me to climb over it - but you know.

    I'm ever so droll.

So I've got 3 more pounds before I'm back where I SHOULD be losing from. My plateau weight. I'm determined to get under 200 by the end of the year. We got this. emoticon
