peace of mind

Friday, November 16, 2012

sometimes it is appreciating all the small things in our lives that helps us feel peaceful even in a world full of chaos and bad news. It looks like war looming in Israel and unease about the economy at home. Hunker down, don't blow your budget, and concentrate on the things that truly matter. It's not about the gifts or what you buy. Don't even go there....do something that means something, and your heart will rest easier.

This is fantastic advise. I like the saying "it is what it is". This means knowing what you can do something about and doing it, and leaving aside what you have no control over.

Such powerful words-- emoticon for reminding us all that it isn't about the gifts we give, their cost or the uniquity, but about our love and compassion for a person without needing physical and monetory things.
