Day 3 of sweet tooth challenge

Friday, November 16, 2012

So yesterday I got a lot of steps, over 10,000. That happens when we're out GeoCaching, 10 more under my belt! But I did not make all the best choices nor was I able to track everything. I started out with my Greek yogurt like I do every day and I managed a banana before I met up with my Mom.

After doing most of our treasure hunting, we ended up at Culver's. I normally just get a sandwich. I gave into some onion rings, which had more fat and calories than the burger! Then we did some shopping, CostCo was our first stop, where they were giving away samples. I sampled. The hazelnut chocolate I know for a fact runs just over 100 calories just for the one. There were plenty of other samples.

Mom kept threatening to stop for a donut, but fortunately never did, all because I had to pee bad enough to stop at a gas station.

By the time we got home after three different stores, I was not really hungry, so nothing was counted like a real dinner. If I'm not hungry I don't feel like I should have to eat. I eventually sat and felt hungry, so I had some cereal, frosted of course, and another hunk of that summer sausage. I shouldn't have gotten the big one, it still hasn't seen crackers and cheese.

Obviously I could have made better decisions, and normally I do, but I gave into that side with my burger. If it wasn't for the onion rings, I would have made my calorie allotment just fine. Oh well, it happens occasionally. It's not like I'm eating out daily nor do I make the side choice with my sandwich.

It was also more sugar than I have had the last couple of days. I'm still making decent choices much more than I was last week.

I think the frosted flakes were partly due to the moment I walked into the house, everyone bombarded me with their day. Jeez, at least let me take my shoes off, or have looked at the kids homework earlier. Everyone was sitting watching tv when I got home, like usual when daddy keeps an eye on the kids. It's not like he couldn't have taken care of their homework and paperwork from the school. Must be a dad thing...

Today I plan on doing some cleaning. The bil is possibly expected next week and I wasn't prepared for that. I'll have to get the husband to help clean for his brother. I also have to call my mom and see if it's ok (and I know it will be, but it's courteous to call and give the heads-up) for him to show up for Thanksgiving in case his job calls him in-state this week.

I know what you mean, one thing leads to another. But today is a new day, and another chance to do even better. Let yesterday go, and move into today with strength, motivation, and positivity. emoticon
