hate the word restart- but you gotta do what you gotta do

emoticon I am so pumped as joined a new team with a new perspective. Spark is such a great community to be able to correspond with and I appreciate it so much. I don't have any major health concerns so no excuses are allowed by me for my shape. So proof is in the future for me. I am not going to say that I hope to do something as that leaves room to fail. I AM going to do better. Hubby and I both retired and for first time yesterday we did a morning walk and yep walked further than I planned but had a goal--Post Office. Since our first time did not even realize how far we walked- 1 1/2 miles. Today we will walk again. I have wii system and all sorts of things for exercise and this putting off til tomorrow has had to stop-NOW! I am from a large family with 11 children and I am only one [knock on wood] to be in pretty good health. I am saying heart issues, diabetes, cancer and who knows what else. Needless to say only I can change the future. I am 64 yrs young and am ready to make a difference in my life and my hubby's- I want him around for a long long time. emoticon

    Your family history gives you lots on incentive to stay healthy. Walking is great and the best thing of all the only cost is a good pair of shoes. Keep up the good work. I will be looking forward to hearing the good things that happen because of it

THIS WORKS. WENT ON WEEKS CRUISE DID NOT GAIN A POUND.

my sister walks 15,000 steps a day at 63 years
old and has lost 105 pounds. she went from a size 24 to a size 10. all her health issues dropped off as the 105 pounds dropped off. took 16 months.

i gave up grain and sugary products and have lost 44 pounds at age 60. i went from a size 18 to a size 10 shorts and medium tops from a 1 or 2x. took 7 months.

use a salad plate as a dinner plate

use fruit for your sweet tooth cravings, an apple works great. helps with the chewing sensation.

fill your salad plate with half vegetables.

we are both still loosing weight until we reach our goal

    This is wonderful. Walking is a great form of exercise, and a great way of enjoying each other. Way to go. I am glad your health is good.
