Pneumonia - The training killer

So I started November off doing pretty well. I reached my 30# loss mark and was really excited to begin moving into my marathon training zone. Then I got a little cold which turned into pneumonia. The last two and a half weeks have not so silently killed my training schedule.

The good news is I got on the treadmill for the first time on Wednesday and I was able to fast walk a mile before I felt totally drained. Going to try again today and just see how far I can go without overdoing it. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

    Don't overdo it....that can make you relapse. Hang in there - take it slow and you CAN do this!

    Start out slow....if you push it you will end up sick again! I know cuz it happened to me. It sucks but you have to take your time. Oh and lots and lots of water! It flushes all that bad stuff out faster!

    Ya know, pneumonia can kill a helluva not more than a training schedule......

Only thing I'd suggest is that you don't overdo things, and follow your health care professional's advice on getting back into the swing of things......best wishes with your recovery and return to normalcy!
