A whole bunch of stuff.

I have so much to say but my thoughts are askew that I may be jumping all over the place. I apologize in advance.
I went to the gym because I wanted to get some running in. I ran an 11 minute mile, but I must say that this was on the treadmill at a 0.0 incline, therefore I'm just simply okay with it. I want hills, different terrain, rain, snow, tidal wave, whatever, before I'm sincerely 100% elated about the time. I'm happy, though. I ran a mile without stopping so THAT'S an achievement.
Dinner last night was a bit blah. The spaghetti squash angered me and I overcooked my chicken. Needless to say, it was not pleasant and I ended up throwing it away. Fortunately for me, we had roasted chicken in the fridge, so I picked some off, added some ranch and frank's wing sauce and slapped in on a revolution roll with lettuce and voila! A not so boring meal.
I got a lot of sleep last night but had a disturbing dream. Every time I ate something that wasn't on my Medifast meal, I'd get 10x bigger. The thing was, I was starving, but nothing that was offered was acceptable on this list. I woke up and was completely confused. I'm rather satisfied with Medifast, but perhaps my dinner fiasco had me wishing I could eat what my family was eating. I'm good, though. I'm still on track. I got my Medifast Sloppy Joe mix with me and I'm going running today...again. Or Zumba. Not sure which one yet.
Now, onto something incredibly serious that's been bugging me.
I have a tumblr and I'm tracking the dieting tag...reading some of the things in it actually bug the hell out of me. These girls (a majority of them are girls) are barely eating anything. Carrot sticks, crackers, a slice of ham, yogurt....that's all they eat in one day. Now, it's none of my business why these people are loosing weight, but the way they go about it really scares me. Your body can't sustain on basic items.
Your body needs food to fuel the body. The fuel is turned into energy by your cells and distributed throughout the body. Your body also needs vitamins and minerals as well as fats, carbs, protein, ect to run correctly. All of these can affect every part of your body. The endocrine system tries maintain a balance in your body, and without these essentials, it could start to shut down. With that being said, the girls on these diets are putting their bodies in starvation mode. Soon, their organs aren't going to have the things they need and will shut down.
It's great to watch what we eat, but we also need to consider that those scary fats that we avoid is needed. The carbs that we're scared of is vital.
Sorry if I sound a bit down. I'm feeling a bit off today.
