I Have Taken, My First Steps, To My New, Life Yet Again.

Thursday, November 15, 2012

I have taken, my first steps, to my new, life yet again, i have decided, to sort through, my whole Flat, chucking stuff out, which i dont, need or require, anymore or why, i bought the, stuff in the, 1st place. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I'm still planning, on making my, Spare Bedroom into, a proper Bedroom, & the Bedroom, that i'm using, now will become, a Dining Room, where i can relax, & start eating, proper meals again, without having to, upset my real, family or my, Online Family 2. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I can do, this over several, or more weekends, plus over the, Christmas period &, New Year period, 2 as the, Library closes about, 3 days before, Christmas & does, not re-open until, 3 days after, New Year so, i can get, it all sorted, done & dusted, & as a, proper home should, be perfect. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

There have been studies published which directly link clutter to depression. By decluttering your space you may also improve your state of mind. I am working on this as well and have already donated much of what had collected in my home. It's a work in progress but I have the end goal in sight!

I do the same thing from time to time... go through and clear out what I have collected and not needed... only taking up space... cluttering my house and soul. I also have to start packing, since ex ran off, I can't afford house payment... so I have MAJOR clear out to do. I will be going from a good sized 3 + 1/2 bedroom home full basement and two and a half car garage, to a 2-bedroom apt. There is going to be a lot that is left behind, and since ex will be moving IN with the girlfriend he ran off with, that is going to hurt a bit. That was supposed to be my home till I was too old to live in my own home... but what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger...But it doesn't feel like that right now. I also have 3 teens... and that complicates things too... well, wish you luck... and if you have some to spare, please send me some luck back. :p

This sounds like a positive and achievable goal - just what you should be focusing on. As you go through things, be sure to donate anything that is in good condition. Also, pay attention to what you're removing from your space - if you ever feel the need to buy something similar then stop and ask yourself WHY you need it and what it will accomplish towards your goals.

Spend some time focusing on making positive changes in your life. It will help you a lot.

You will enjoy the end result - of not the process. Make sure you have a "donate" pile as you get extra points in life for helping out others! I can't wait to get moving back to my old room and giving my parents their room back! Well, I can as I have not even STARTED to work on that room yet. But it was painted with "popcorn" paint, so I have to knock all that off!!! Not going to be a fun job, but I have until the end of the year to get it done.

Nesting is a good way to make changes in your life. You start to realize that there is more to life than a stupid boy/man, and that you are going to be fine living without them. That's when you take the power of happiness back. They have no power over your mood unless you give it to them!

Congratulations on moving forward and for looking ahead to a brighter future. Not to mention getting your place all fixed up! You will relish the glory of that when you sit down in your dining room and eat a real meal with ONE glass of wine!

Okay, maybe 2, but that's it!

Sounds like a plan. Here, our family is trying to overcome years of acquiring STUFF (much of it from relatives that didn't want it) and SIMPLIFYING our lives - I'd like to get out from under at least half the STUFF that's cluttering our house. We'll move through it one room at a time -- and maybe by Spring, we'll be able to find the floor again!

Good for you girl. Sounds like a good plan and something that you can really do. We're all here to encourage you too! Thanks for adding me back! We can get these extra pounds off together and you really will with all the moving around you'll be doing to get your Flat just how you like it! emoticon
