Small victories!

Thursday, November 15, 2012

So my girlfriend, Kristan, got her divorce final yesterday. So we decided to go celebrate with a little shopping spree and dinner. But before I get to that, I'll recap on the events leading up to it:

I had woke up a bit sore in the core (yay) from insanity the night before. It was a good sore, not unbearable. So stopped and got the usual, bananas, OJ, and a breakfast crossaint from Kwik Trip. Knowing the crossaints have more calories than the muffins, I only ate half. (small victory)

Lunch, the co-workers decided to order pizza from the local bar, I had two pieces. And about 3 liters of water, while everyone else had soda, with some popcorn. (small victory)

I met up with Kristan about 530, and we head to the mall. Trying on clothes, not wanting to go all "yay shopping spree" because I'm only going to be wearing these clothes a few months longer, plus I still have stuff that fits from the last time I dropped the weight. So I just bought a shirt and pair of fitting black pants from Vanity. Now the black pants I grabbed a 9 and an 11. I zipped and buttoned the 9 ... (small victory) did it look good? NOPE ... LOL but I got in them. So I got the 11's anyway, which are loose some, but my mom can always take them in, she has to hem them about an inch because I'm a shorty.

For dinner we went to outback, it was her first time ever being there. Ordered a strawberry margarita (YUMMY) and to start, a blooming onion. (can't have her there and not try the onion!) Ordered a 12 oz steak (so I could split it and have it for dinner another day) with steamed veggies ... we ate about 75% of that dang onion ... and I was full. They bring out our salads (ate maybe a quarter of that, knowing I have a steak coming, but I was still full) ... Then our entrees come. I cut the steak in half, then cut the half in half. So that was cut into maybe 5 smaller pieces, and that's about as far as I got, along with two carrot slices... So considering, I didn't want to just be rude and box up my whole meal, I was a trooper and ate what I could...

Our waiter Andy, was such a peach... he asked what we were celebrating and so he brought Kristan out a "birthday" ice cream ... *there's ALWAYS room for ice cream* LOL ... we then waddled our asses out of there and walked around walmart for a good hour... got home, washed up, and went right to bed!

Needless to say, I didn't get my day 3 of insanity in, but the scale wasn't too mean to me this morning ... only went up about .8 lbs. (small victory)

Tonight's agenda:

Vacuum
Start laundry; mostly bedding, socks, and workout wear.
Zumba warm up (20 mins)
Insanity Day 3
Elliptical; at least 30 mins (could be more due to not watching any of my recorded shows last night)
