Home Again

Thursday, November 15, 2012

I've been back more than a week. I've been keeping up with with SP although I haven't contributed much. I gained a few pounds too, but I don't think they are going to stay with me. They are mostly from Brahma beer and I'm not normally a big beer drinker. My positive behavior was lots of running and walking. I did two midnight runs through the favelas from Lapa nearly to Corcavado which involved some pretty healthy hills and lots of stairs. I wore my Garmin Forerunner so I got some GPS maps. Here's one: http://connect.garmin.com/play

When we got home there were a few huge trees blown down by the hurricane. I've been turning them into firewood, but that's done and I finally had time to do something with my Rio photos. They are on YouTube- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v

I put up a Video Clip too. It begins with a walk through a street fair and ends with a run up the Steps of Lapa- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v
=rOqge2vxBvw -The same applies about the resolution. Neither is great art, but they catch a bit of the flavor of the area.

Awesome! I just visited the Steps at Lapa this past weekend. I did not run them though, I was with my 4 year old.
