Daniel 4:17 says "... the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes and sets over them the lowliest of people." There has been so much furor over the recent - and previous - elections. But when "my" candidate doesn't make it, I am not dismayed. Nor do I think that God has not answered my prayers. Prov. 19:21 says, " Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails." Do I trust Him for the outcome? YES! Okay, who's in office? Let's pray for him/her/them. Let's pray for all elected and appointed officials on every governmental level - national, statewide, county, local. Like Paul said in 1 Timothy 2:1-4 "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for [the President] and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth."
