I've talked about this before, but I'm so enthused about it that I thought I'd try to share another article about it ~ POLES!!!!

There are so many benefits to using poles when you walk or hike that it would really be a great thing to put on your list for Santa!! This is a Prevention article but there is also a SP article about using Nordic poles while walking. Just saw that today. It was like articles about the benefits of using poles were everywhere today. Really, think about using them - they're great.

Did the big hill today and went into the woods on the hiking trail for the rest of the cardio. Mileage: 8.92 miles. Had a strength training session tonight - core; upper body.

Just had a light dinner of soup tonight. It's cold out and the hot soup tasted real good. Soup is so good this time of year anyway!

Thanks for stopping by today if you had time. Hope your Wednesday was wonderful and you got outside for a good walk. emoticon

I have used poles for hiking for years but never for just walking around the neighborhood. Thanks for the link .

I made a thick chicken stew this week with local veggies - it was great - I agree the best meal for a cool weather. emoticon

I have some, but I've never quite got the knack of it.

I hate to admit it but I am embarrassed to use poles since most of my walks are through my subdivision. emoticon

Bought one for my dad years ago and he used it until the end looked like a toothpick. The metal tip came off and he still kept it with him when working outside. Good idea!

Thanks for sharing that article's link. I am
going to read this as soon as my poles arrive.
I bought a pair for $7.99 plus S&H. They
should arrive before Thanksgiving. I can't
wait to get started. HUGS!

That does seem like a good item for the Christmas list.
