Stevie's 2013 Fitness Bucket List

Wednesday, November 14, 2012

Due to a new acquaintence (Len), I decided to copy her idea of creating a 2013 Fitness Bucket List.

First, my numbers:
* Current weight: 180 lbs. (Healthy Weight for my height: 115-130 lbs.; Goal: 145 lbs.)
* BMI = 32.9 (Obese, Ugh!!!!; Ideal: 18.5-24.9; Goal: 27)
* Body Fat = 36% (Ideal: 23.3-28.3%; Average: 28.3-34.6%; Goal: 30%)
* Calorie Range: 1200-1400 calories

Here's my Fitness Bucket List for 2013:

1. Complete Jillian Michaels' Body Revolution by January 2013 (Started 10/29/12)

2. After Jillian Michaels' Body Revolution try Tapout XT to be completed by May 2013 (Start 02/01/13)
* Purchase the program January 2013

3. Find compression bands for my knees in order to start Couch-to-5K; Run a 5K in September or October 2013 (depends upon what 5K events are in the fall; this will be my first)
* I love to run, but my 40s knees were hindering this passion, if I find some compression bands for my knees will help me to bring that passion back into existence
* I need new tennis shoes (buy them by 01/31/13)

4. Cooking more often than going out to Fast Food Restaurants (Started Now)
* Eat Clean
* Plan weekly menus on Wednesdays or Thursdays
* Incorporate more fiber into my meals
* Incorporate more protein into my meals & snacks (30-40% of my meal)
* Until I reach my goal of 145 lbs., keeping my calorie range 1200-1400 calories
* Continue to log my food in Sparkpeople

5. Allow myself to a cheat meal or a treat during the weekend (Starting 01/01/13)

6. Continue my workouts (Started Now)
* Add variety to workouts so I won't plateau
* Zumba, Brazil Butt Lift, TurboFire, etc.
* Add stretching to my workouts instead of rushing through cooldowns
* Continue my Morning Mile Challenge (Complete by December 2013)

7. Discover other ways to relieve stress or difficult times than through only exercise or emotional eating (Starting 12/01/12)
* Prayer & Meditation
* Get back into journaling
* Reading fitness magazines or fictional readings

8. Create a vision board surrounding fitness & being healthy (Starting 11/26/12)

Only 8 goals are enough, because 8 is the number of new beginnings (which is my favorite number). My spare room is my workout area & I will post these goals there as well on my refridgerator. My mantra for 2013 will be the following: Stay Focused & Motivated!

Thanks Len for sharing your Bucket List for 2013! It was a great idea!
