sometimes things happen to change your attitude......

Wednesday, November 14, 2012

I was leaving the house today for work, late, as usual. I had done a lot of things at home, but was still feeling a bit stressed because I can't seem to get going on time. As I pulled out of the driveway and headed down our (short) road, God provided a bit of calmness for my soul.

Now, for those of you who see these beautiful creatures all the time, it might not be a treat. However, I have seen only 5-6 since we moved here 16 years ago, and they are usually the small mule deer. This one was large and looked like a white-tail deer. God is good!

Heck I even get this way when I see the poor, crawny coyotes chasing around my area. Poor thing was running around on 3 legs only the last few days. I think his day is numbered, unfortunately!

But I do prefer the deer. Especially when I see how easily they jump over a high fence.

As my home is located in the middle of the woods, I see deer often right on my front lawn. Even had one this spring that decided to take a lay-down beside one of my ornamental shrubs. Every time I see one of these critters I'm in awe, and it makes my heart sing. I know exactly how you felt, and it's a wonderful feeling.
