Hello everyone. I'm popping in to make a quick blog entry and to update everyone on what's been going on thus far. Med school is crazy still, but I feel like I'm slowly getting the hang of it. I've managed to lose 11lbs so far and I'm super proud of myself. I haven't even been working out, just eating right and the 11lbs have come off. I'm also trying a new meal thing where I replace 2 meals or a single meal and a snack with a protein shake. It seems to be working well. I've been very strict about not eating past 7. I've also introduced gummy vitamins into my regimen.

They're 15 calories for 2 gummies but I'm ok with the extra bit of calories since I've now been taking my vitamins regularly. What else....oh I'm especially proud of myself because I have been successfully beating my trigger foods, namely fried chicken; ice cream; chocolate and pizza. I went out with some friends on Saturday night and we went to get Vietnamese food. I enjoyed my meal grilled chicken with egg over onion rice and a nice clear broth. The real test came when my amigas decided that they wanted to get frozen yogurt at Pinkberry. I went with them but got nothing.

It's a real victory because if anyone knows me, they know that I'm an ice cream fanatic. The next temptation came yesterday when my mom informed me that she had bought some chicken from the Chinese takeout place. I seriously love their chicken but I know that I can't eat just one, so instead of even taking a bite, I gave my two chicken wings away to my cousin and brother. I felt super awesome since I didn't feel as though I was a slave to my cravings. Ok I think that's about it. I shall now return to the abyss of medical school studies.
