Now I remember . . . it's been a long time.

Wednesday, November 14, 2012

I remembered something that I wanted to share yesterday.

First of all, on Monday, I had to go into 'the city' for a mammogram and other stuff. Well, I haven't felt good about myself in a long time, and I haven't worn make up for a-g-e-s. So, to celebrate a mid-point, 13 pound weight loss, I decided to get all gussied up, put on some make up and wear some of those clothes I haven't been able to get into in y-e-a-r-s! WOOOOHOOOOO!

So, I dug around in my box of make up stuff. (I used to do color makeovers and pamper sessions as my business, and I have a lot of fun stuff.) I found my favorite colors, set up my mirror, brushes, applicators, cotton swabs, etc. etc. etc. and then turned to face the mirror.

Now I discover, I can't apply eye make up while wearing glasses. So, I have to take my glasses off. (I did say it's been a long time!) So, I put my glasses in a safe place where I could find them again.

Then I dabbed a bit of my favorite color onto the applicator and put it where I thought it should go. First one eye, then the other.

Then I try to look at myself in the mirror. Of course, I can no longer see my eye in the mirror without my glasses but it looks like I've got black stuff all over my face. So, I put on my glasses, and sure enough. Black stuff. What is that and where did it come from???

I looked down at the color pot to make sure I'd used the right color. Yep. Then I looked at the applicator only to discover that the foam tip had disintegrated! The decomposed foam tip is now on my eye lid and all over my face!

Oh, dear! It really HAS BEEN a long time!!!

So, in keeping with recreating a brand new Sparky way of thinking and living, I also get to re-Spark my cosmetics!

I laughed because I can so relate! I can't see anything without my glasses! I have to shower after my work out at the rec center and then go to work as it's to far to go home first. There is only one spot in the locker room where I can get close enough to the mirror to put my makeup on and I'm not the only lady who needs that particular spot! emoticon

That's too funny! I have the same thing with mirrors, take my glasses off and I cannot see a thing. Hope those cosmetics get re-sparked, LOL.

I hope its okay to laugh at this cuz I admit...I am!

I can't think of the last time I put on make up. I always disliked taking the time to do it and never felt good at it so I finally just stopped and for me it is a good thing. I like just being me.

Just think how much fun it will be to get new cosmetics though:)
