After months of me cajoling her, my sister started her fitness program. She has been swimming regularly and I am very proud of her. Today she was complaining that she wasn't losing any weight. I explained that she may be gaining muscle.
I also pointed out that we are all so concerned with how are body is looking on the outside but what about the benefits that are happening inside our bodies - to our lungs, hearts, etc.? Just think what exercise must be doing for all those organs inside that most of us just take for granted will always function properly.
