I shake my little tush on the catwalk...
Dinner last night was fabulous! I made Revolution Rolls which were quite tasty and put some BBQ ranch chicken salad on it with like a pound of lettuce. It was all so amazing and Medifast approved. It tastes better when itís cold so after I put the cheese in the chicken mix, I stuck it in the refrigerator for five minutes. The only thing that I had an issue with was the BBQ sauce. I couldnít find one that had no sugar added, so I chose an all natural one with only 3g of sugar instead of the 6g.
Last night was also my younger brotherís birthday and he gotÖa cookie dough ice cream cake. Okay, so that was enough to make my mouth water but I held strong and popped my brownie in the microwave. After my brother blew out his candles and we were sitting around the table, I had my brownie and therefore got to eat my sweet treat with the rest of the family.
The best part wasÖI didnít even want the cake. I was too excited to try this brownie that the cake seemed disgusting. Let me tell you, that Medifast brownie was absolutely delicious and satisfying.
Tonight is Chicken lo mein (with spaghetti squash, of course). Once again, itís Medifast approved. This is my all time favorite Chinese dish so Iím looking forward to making it tonight. I'm just glad I can stay on this diet and have a variety of things.
When I was on this diet previously (like, four years ago), my mom and I were on it together. We ended up eating the same lean and green for a month. My mom got sick while on it so she had to stop. Although I didn't get sick, I just got bored and couldn't figure out creative ways to make my lean and green. A lot goes into it. Condiments, healthy fats, leans, greens...it just gets tedious to measure it all out. LUCKILY there are some sites that'll do this for you and be like "you definitely need to add a lean to this." It makes things so much easier and I'm actually excited to cook.
The greatest part is...my sister is looking on being like "omg that looks so good." She's been supreme queen of the kitchen and the fact that I was on a diet made her a bit nervous. "So, you can't eat this...or this...OR this?" Now I can say "well, I can, but we need to tweak the recipe a little bit." Now she's looking at my meals and trying them and being like "uh...this is really good." Normally I would cook for the family the same meals I have, but the family isn't particularly keen on it. Hopefully small taste tests will change that.
I've also been sleeping better. Granted, I did take nyquil because my cough started and I feel that I'm also about to get sick. Rather nip it in the bud then wait for it. I managed over 8 hours of sleep and it felt amazing to get up this morning. Well, not amazing because it was cold and my bed was cozy, but I did feel rested. I didn't wake up during the night either which is a huge plus. Because I didn't wake up during the night, I did end up spending 3 minutes in the bathroom just peeing. Drinking water will do that to you.
Anyway, chicken lo mein tonight before zumba! Yipee!!
