The Thrill Is Gone

I had been feeling excited about going to Houston next week for a memorial service for my uncle and for Thanksgiving. But this upper respiratory infection has really knocked me down.

I don't care about seeing family. I don't care about visiting friends. I just want to stay in bed. But of course, I have a few days before I have to leave. Maybe I'll be almost better by then.

Sometime early this morning I began to feel less sick. Not to say that I feel well, just that I think I might not die and that would be okay.
This has really put me off exercise. Don't know when I'll be able to do any cardio again. I have such a cough that I would probably land in a heap just coughing and spitting up phlegm. Disgusting picture, no?
Time heals all. Guess I'll just have to be patient. Thanks to all of you who have sent kind thoughts, goodies and encouragement. You are great!

    I hope you get well soon!! I agree, cardio isn't a great idea when you are coughing. You might have to take a run back to the Dr. to take some meds with you on your trip. Maybe you will be much better by then. I hope so!!!

    Don't be worrying about cardio, taking care of yourself and getting back to 100% health is most important. I'm glad you are feeling slightly better today, hopefully now you will improve more quickly. Take the time you need to heal, the rest will be what it is.

    good to hear that you are temporarily 'put off' exercise. For now look after yourself. If you make sure you're well first, then your cardio exercises will be far more effective emoticon
