This is one of those rare blogs that I don't have the title thought out well in advance and I am just letting my "fingers do the talking".
Life has been good lately. I've managed to force myself into my walking routine again and I have to say I am feeling much better because of it. Yesterday the hounds and I walked 5km over uneven terrain around two ponds. I packed a lunch for them (milkbones), three containers of water, and an apple. I think they were more excited to get bits of apple than they were the dog treats which just goes to show, "doggy food is good but human food must be awesome". Maddy was extremely tired this morning and when John went to harness him up for their morning jaunt Maddy turned and jumped back into our bed with his harness and leash still attached! Too cute!
This was the longest hike Ginger has been on and she was a real trooper. I had to keep her on her lead because of her love of running free, chasing rabbits, and getting so lost she gets afraid. She has come such a long way and has gained about four pounds, most of which is muscle in her legs.
I NEED to get back in the saddle with Spark. So this walking is my way of doing it. I am still drinking my water and have decided to have chocolate one night a week instead of everynight. Last night was my first night chocolate free! I am also thinking about asking Santa Claus for a FitBit. Not sure where I can actually buy one in Canada as ordering from the U.S. is a bit of a pain with duty, etc. I've been on their website and it seems there are the FitBit Zip, the One and the Ultra. Any suggestions?
I am also working on my rewards for reaching certain goals. I have trouble with those because we usually buy what we need. I think my rewards are going to have to be "worth it" so to speak. I have oodles of airmiles and am thinking a trip will be my ultimate "reward" but to where I don't know. I want to go to Australia BUT we have the dogs to think about. Hmmmm.
So, there it is, I just went back and came up with a title. I hope you are all well and healthy!
