End of the Fall Challenge

So I had some ups and some downs this fall. I had a great running season and got up to 10 miles in my training for the Half I was supposed to do the first weekend of November. Unfortunately I also developed IT Band syndrome which made it impossible to run past 5 miles after I did that 10 mile run :( I gotta say that I was pretty depressed that I wasn't able to do a half this year as planned and trained for. I'm doing my best to pick myself up by my bootstraps and move forward though, remembering that there will be other races and the important thing is to make sure I can continue running...not to kill my running career for this one race. It is hard though as I was on track to PR as I had hoped. So I got sort of down in the dumps about this whole thing and didn't pay attention to my eating as well as I should have and I didn't lose as much weight as I had hoped, but I did still lose some and that is good.

I'm moving forward now. I've got a plan in place to treat the ITBS and the most important thing to me right now is that I can continue running, so I'm focusing on that this winter. I hope I can lose these last 7 lbs to reach my goal, but over the winter I will be happy just to maintain!
