You have your goals...you know what to do...you've probably read tons of articles on SparkPeople (if not, you should try reading some of them - they offer great information!), and now you have your doctor's concern as well as your own. Those are all pointing you in the right direction! So the main thing is to NOT give up! Your wife received a great report - and you want to enjoy many years ahead and with good health!
I hear ya. My weight's still wandering around in the "I'm not happy" area too. I'm working on Coach Nicole's Beginner Boot Camp series, and the Spark Diet 4 stage series to try to get some better consistency going. Here're the links if you're interested:

It's not going the way I'd like, but no way am I giving up.
So the "Big Question" is... Were you doing your job? All those healthy things like eating what you know you should in the quantities you know you should and exercising like you know you should and getting the sleep/rest that you know you should.... OR Were you lying to yourself and it showed up on the scales? Well, join the club... Ate the healthy stuff and some of those other things that just jump right into your hand or on your plate... it's magic... and for exercise.. did it yesterday or will do it later... like tomorrow sounds about right.
Now is the time to get serious and do the healthy things... You can do it... I have faith in "YOU" Audra
Well, ok, I love this when medical professionals tell you they are not happy, but did he come up with an action plan? I know we are responsible as well, but they are the professionals!
Did he provide you a plan? I hope so! If not, I suggest you call him back and make him do his job!
