Apparently I am on a "plateau"...

And it sucks!

I haven't lost a pound in 2 weeks and I have been working out and have been really, really good about what I eat.

I have upped my weight training, so there is the probability that I have lost fat but gained muscle.

    Mix up your routine hun and what you don't lose on the scale keep an eye out on your measurements. Its not nice to be feeling like this but digging deep and you will come out the other end soon

    Yep, they are no fun at all! Mix it up is the best advice I got! Eat your bigger meal at a different time than you usually do : at breakfast instead of dinner, for example, and as someone else said, try some different foods. Another thing that seems to help, and I don't know why, is adding lemon juice to your water. Maybe it makes you drink more water? All I know is when I'm stuck that's the first thing I do emoticon

    Plateaus happen. They are your body's way of adjusting to the changes and preparing itself to continue. And after all, once you hit goal weight and maintain...what is maintenance but a long term plateau?

    Just stick with it...Shake up your routine and maybe change up some foods if you tend to eat the same things...
You'll bust through it in no time!

  Hey just keep going. I had the same problem. I started riding a bike 2 miles a day and I started noticing quicker weight loss. Also watch the carbs. Everyone is worried about fat and calories but the carbs are the killer. Also I got a book called OMG it has a lot of great info in it to kick start the weight loss. I lost 6 pounds the first week. But definitely riding the bike is excellent. Also throughout the day when I am watching my shows, I do 15 minutes here and there of light aerobics or light weights for my arms, squats, etc... You don't even realize what all you are doing when you are into your show- LOL!! Just stay encouraged!!!!

    I hate plateaus! When this happen to me I change up my routine you have to fool your body because it gets use to your routines. I make it an adventure to do new things, keeps me from getting bored. And you probably did gain muscle. You are doing well don't give up. Be sure to read spark pages on plateaus, these articles were a big help to me. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
