Medical Issues - UGH!

Tuesday, November 13, 2012

It's always something. Last Tuesday I had another black out/pass out episode, which is being called fainting. This happened to me years ago and a lot was ruled out, but they never figured out the problem. Now it's back again. This time I have a new neurologist, who can hopefully figure this out. If I faint again, my MD wants me to go to the ER.

Speaking of the ER, I was just there Sunday night into Monday AM, for a different reason. I had the worst indigestion ever. I thought my stomach was going to explode. Then it was bothering me in the throat. Then I felt like my heart was racing and I had chest pain. After a couple of hours of trying everything that I could, I woke up hubby and had hime take me to the ER.

Luckily they ruled out heart issues. They diagnosed me with GERD. Today I had a follow-up appt. with my MD. She ordered me a holter monitor, to monitor me heart for 24 hours. I do that on the 26th and 27th. She also referred me back to my gastroenterologist - which I made an appointment with him for tomorrow AM. I hope he doesn't suggest another edoscopy. But then again, that's better than the alternatives.

I've also been having problems with extremely itchy feet. This started months ago, and it would be so bad that I wouldn't be able to sleep. I saw my MD who did some tests and referred me to a podiatrist. That worked for a couple of weeks, then started back up so he referred me to a dermatologist. That worked for about a week or two, then started back up again. Now she referred me to an allergist - who can hopefully shed some light on the problem.

So, even though I took this semester off from school (which I'm so glad I did now), I've been very busy with doctor's appointments. It's never-ending. I will keep you all updated, as usual. It's just all so stressful - UGH!

I found out today that my 14 year old son has to get a holter monitor as well. They're predicting that he may have to wear it for 3 days. I will keep you in my prayers.

All will be well!! emoticon

Oh good grief, you poor thing - you really are going through the wars!

Keep fighting and hope you get some answers.

So many things can be eased or cured through our foods, either cutting out or increasing intake - its another line of investigation that may prove helpful?

Good luck and take care
