Day 347- I RAN 5 MILES! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!

Tuesday, November 13, 2012

The title says it all. I decided to try and train for the Turkey Trot. Today I decided I was going to run 2.5 miles and then turn around and run as far as I could back to my car. Well I made it the whole way! I even picked up my pace after the 3rd mile. I think that's when my runner's high kicked in. It was crazy!

When I got back to my car, I looked down at my watch and I couldn't believe it!

56:16:80! Under an hour! 5 miles under an hour.

I just feel so lucky that I decided to change my life and now reach new goals every day.

Thank you everyone who's supported me!

Running can be addictive. Just be sure you don't add too much mileage at once; a common recommendation is not to increase your miles by more than 10% from one week to the next.
