Feeling better every day and other boring stuff

Tuesday, November 13, 2012

I'm doing SparkCoach and today I am supposed to blog about what changes I have noticed lately. I am going to admit, I often find it hard to blog. Why would anyone want to read something as uninteresting as "how I feel". I remind myself, though, that it is for my benefit, not an entry trying to win a Pulitzer.
But, I also know that, like tracking my food daily, blogging is another tool to get me where I need to go.

So, here is some of that boring stuff.

Since I have started Spark I feel wonderful. When I stray (and I have done that a few times) I feel terrible.
One of the biggest benefits, other than the obvious health ones, is I am in control. Life does not always go the way one wants or plans. Sticking with a healthy lifestyle is all up to me. Surrounded with the world falling apart around you and knowing you have what it takes to maintain your health is uplifting.

I firmly believe that when you don't succeed at SparkPeople it is okay to try and try and most importantly keep coming back. For me each time I come back it is a little easier. Soon things become a habit and a way of life that you can no longer live without.

Other little things:

-I am approaching the 50 pds lost mark. Actually I think I am there already but, I was so heavy in the beginning that I wouldn't even get on a scale.

-My blood sugar readings have been very good as of late.

-My level of fitness has improved tremendously.

-I can do little things around the house that before were either extremely uncomfortable or impossible.

-I no longer have to buy my clothes in the plus size department.

-I don't even think of putting a glass of soda (diet) next to my plate. Water is my first choice (well, maybe 2nd, wine being the 1st, LOL)

-I am starting to enjoy vegetables more, some work to be done there but I am improving.

These are the things that I thought of first.
I'm sure the Coach will make me do this again so I'll come up with some more boring personal facts, soon.
Boy, this blogging is tough....

I found your blog to be very inspiring! What wonderful changes! You & I need to exchange a bit to be totally on track! I am fine with my veggies but often need that soda, diet soda! Oh, I like my wine too! HeeHee! You are doing great! Get out here and brag and blog about it!
