Well, got up early. Hubby had forgotten to tell me he needed some things from the Market until last night while we were on the way to the hopsital to see friend. I had to go to the bank and make a deposit. Get on line and pay a few bills and then off to the bank and the market for the things he forgot. I came back home and neighbor had me lots of groceries. He get these and shares them with several of us. He had me some bananas, apples, flat bread. some pretzel buns, potatoes and he was trying to give me more. I told him I had plenty for Hubby and I. He was putting together boxes for some other neighbors. He had a box for the family that took the wood from our yard. The man that works 24 hours and the wife that only gets in about 20 hours a week. They have two children and live in the house her mother left them. The father comes around and helps our neighbor on the little jobs he picks up for some extra funds.
This is a really nice couple that have been hit really hard by these times. He was in construction and there is nothing for him now. His boss will let him have any extra hours that come along during the week, like another employee not showing up etc. Neither of them have been able to find full time employment for the last two years.
Hubby is planning on getting them everything for Thanksgiving this coming weekend. A small turkey and all the trimmings. As Hubby says, we have been blessed and we need to share. I am happy with the people in our little neighborhood as they are all sharers and look out for one another.
I came home and started my studying for class this week. I had some salmon and a small salad for lunch and we have a meeting tonight, so I am not sure what we will be having for dinner. Hubby told me not to worry about it. I do have some hard boilded eggs and culd whipp up a little egg salad for a quick sandwich before we go. We can also have a banana with it.
Miss Coco is so busy today checking out every corner of the house. She has been out chasing the cats, sitting on the top step and surveying her little dogdome. A large butterfly flew down and sat beside her for a few minutes, but I was unable to get a picture.
