At the beginning of the BL Fall Challenge, we were each asked to list 5 things that have held us back in the past and something that we planned to work on for the Fall Challenge.
Of the five things that have held me back, I think I have done a good job not trying to make too many changes at once and with having more strength training. I still don't plan as well as I should and I definitely don't eat enough fruits and veggies. I have recently made a renewed commitment to not eat out often, so that should help with my calorie intake over the long haul, even if I still tend to eat too much when I do go out.
I've really enjoyed the strength training. I had a personal trainer for 2 months and he taught me so much about how to put together a good overall workout using various equipment. For the past 2 weeks I've been participating in a TRX class. Although I didn't enjoy the TRX during my personal training session, I find that working out with a group is fun. Seeing other people doing the same exercises gives me aspirations on what I want to be able to do, and also realizations that I am not the only one who struggles with certain areas.
To my Yellow Team, I want to thank you all for your support over the Summer and Fall. I will not be joining you for the Winter Challenge, but I wish everyone the best and I hope you all keep in touch.
