I haven't been on Spark People for several days. My mom and brother came to visit for a few days and it was just too hard to eat right! I have gained some weight back, my sodium is crazy, my ankles are swollen! Good grief!! I have been craving diet mt! dew like crazy, but, I did not give in!!! So, even though I ate stuff I shouldn't have in quantities that I shouldn't have, but, at least I kept up with drinking water. I will take this small victory (which really isn't so small afterall) and I will run with it!

First step today was to log in and spin the wheel. I'm off to a great start!

Saw my pulmonologist yesterday. Did not get cleared to go back to work just yet, but he did write me some new prescriptions so hopefully I can get this cough under control!

    Good for you! Soda's are HUGE. I am on my 27th day of no sodas and I still jones for a diet coke, BUT I feel better.. not GREAT, but better. And I have not felt BETTER in a long time. I look forward to feeling good and then GREAT, but I will take BETTER today. You sound like you are in control, even if you fall off the path, you understand which way to go! Good good job!     Outside influences are just that. Outside and out of our control. I always ask myself if I am less important that my current surrounding and the answer always comes back NO, NEVER. I have yet to find anyone who objects to my taking care of my "housekeeping" chores. In fact, they admire the dedication. Hang in there.

    I've had a few days like yours, with company and not having time, etc. I did the opposite though, I under ate. Neither is good. I have not weighed myself, nor am I going to, until I've got a few good days back. I am not giving up, either, and I know that emoticon

    If there's one thing SP has taught me, it is to take 2 or 3 things and work on them. We can't change everything at once. The fact that you kept from drinking the Mtn dew WAS a big victory. Others will follow, just give yourself time.

    When you get thrown off the horse, you just climb back on and ride. I broke my arm skiing and then went back to it the next change I got. I tore my rotator cuff skiibng and went right back to it. Call me crazy but you can do it!

    Sometimes life gets us off track of what we are trying to accomplish. The two good things, you drank ,water and you are picking yourself up and getting back on track.Good for you. It is like writing a paper for school, getting it back, seeing where you went wrong and rewriting it, to make it better. I use to drink diet sodas too. Now if I carve one I will but one, but only one. I had one that sat here for a month , I opened it and drank half of it and the rest sit here for a month and I finally threw it out. I have not even wanted one. Keep going we can do this.If you have bad days, just pick yourself up and keep going. emoticon emoticon
