See that face? It looks happy, but the truth is for the past 2 months, I have been anything but happy. Yesterday, I made a conscious effort to change this! I went to Zumba, and my instructor was genuinely concerned about my well being. We had an awesome talk before the class and she even let me choose a song for the set list. I had fun sweating! Yesterday is the first day that I have ate right for an entire day since August.

You don't even want to know what the scale says. Sunday, I weighed in at 197. This was not okay for someone that has weighed 159 this year. This morning I weighed in at 192, and I know it sounds facetious, but I am happy that I didn't go over 200 pounds. I am not sure that I could bounce back from letting myself get that far away from my goals.

I know it's important to not beat myself up, but this beating that I have given myself has made me realize that I have goals set and I will reach them! Here's to being a size 4 and being at my goal weight by August 2013.

My goal is to be 185 by Thanksgiving! I know it is a little unrealistic to lose 7 pounds in a week, but I want to do it just to prove to myself that I have it in me to succeed!

You can reach your goals, and you will. Just stay dedicated and keep moving forward. It's very good you didn't go over 200 lbs, as I can imagine that would be very upsetting after being under 200 lbs for awhile. Keep going and just stay dedicated and I believe you will reach your goals. You may be able to lose 7 lbs in a week if you bust your a** really hard, but even if not, even if you lose less... Do not give up! Because I'm sure you'll reach that mini goal in no time if you stay focused and dedicated. Best of luck sweetheart! xx

Being under 200 is a very big deal, after losing 111 lbs in just under 3 years, it is my goal right now as I have been within 2 lbs of it for a month now. Take small steps and that Zumba is awesome, keep going!

7# a week is rather unrealistic. Try to set a goal that you CAN reach and you will be a lot happier. Yes, it will take a little more time but the extra didn't come on at that rate. Hang in there and you WILL get to your goals!!! We are with you 100%, supporting each other as we walk the same paths. You are an awesome person going for an awesome, health life!! GO FOR IT!!

When I hit 200 reality finally hit me. That is the highest I went, then I found spark. I've been on a slow and steady journey though. 2 1/2 years later I am at 181. Still have a long way to go but I'm at least heading in the right direction.

So glad you are too now! Keep up that Zumba. One of my favorite classes:)

Your goal is admirable; however, dont set yourself up to fail with it. You are emotionally weak right now and that could be dangerous to set such a high goal. I wish you luck and hope to read that you made it emoticon emoticon

Pushing yourself to achieve more is great, just remember to make healthy and S.M.A.R.T (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-Bound) choices.

I agree with the friends who have said "don't focus on the 7 lbs in a week" because you don't want to be going to extrememes. Maybe by Christmas? If you ARE able to drop that much by Thanksgiving, maybe you should make it your goal to maintain that loss through the holidays. You want your goals to be attainable, after all.

I wish you much success!

You look great in your picture though!

Don't focus on loosing 7 pounds this week, that is very unrealistic, and is setting yourself up to fail. Don't get me wrong, eat right and exercise hard, but plan/try/hope to lose 1 pound, not 7. And then do it again the next week, and the week after that...

Slow and steady wins the race -- and sheds the pounds to keep them off.

Hang in there! We ALL have those days, weeks, or even months. I know I do and I've managed to shed over 200 pounds with SparkPeople. What I'm saying is... trend downward and let the speed bumps alone.

One of my writings for getting back on track is:

If you have a flat tire, you don't run around the car in a frenzy popping the other 3 tires. You fix the one and get back on the road ASAP.

You are so worth any effort you put into this!! Remember that it's YOUR body and what YOU choose. Do this for you, but when you slide (and we ALL slide), just get back up and start over. We ALL have to do that and YOU can too!!

The smartest thing you could do was to go to Zumba class.

and remember this - you don't have to lose it 7 pounds at a time. one pound a week would get you back to 159 before thanksgiving of next year! More important is to love yourself gently.

go for it!

Sometimes the horse throws us off and we just have to brush off our butts and get back on. Not every ride is gonna be easy but you wont know how it's gonna turn out till you get on there and try.
