Hit the 50 pound mark yesterday. My weightloss has slowed over the past several weeks, and I'm not sure why. Probably my body has adjusted to what I'm doing, based on past experiance and what I've read over the years.
So this past Saturday, in an effort to change things up a bit, I added some jogging into one of my 30 minute walks. The biggest takeaway from that was I'm still in pretty crappy shape. When I ran, I did so until my chest was pounding (which didn't take long), then walked 'til the H/R monitor showed 120bpm, then jogged some more (repeat). Felt ok at the end, but the monitor showed max H/R was 189. My calculated max is 175. I've got a lot of work to do.
On a lighter note, I noticed I'm on the last (smallest) notch on my size 44 belt. Time to add it to the donation bag and break out one of the smaller ones . . .
