doing better and first snow...

Tuesday, November 13, 2012

sometimes you just have to write things down, see them in black and white, to start making changes. i think that's one of the things so great about SP - i guess it boils down to the accountability.

DH has been saying how "hard" it's going to be to keep running, exercising, but i don't want to hear that, i just want to keep doing it. so out we went....

not an awful lot of snow, but enough to remind us what is to come...

of course, there is the alternative...

hard to believe these were taken just a couple of weeks ago:

ah well, we can do it in winter, too!

I really enjoy the little treats that the winter landscape can give us. On Sunday I saw a beautiful shrub filled with red berries. Later on we passed a small shrub with waxy white berries. They are inconspicuous and are easily overlooked, but once you see them, it is hard to not see them.

I don't see SNOW very often that's why I make myself happy with pictures. If I want to see it then have to go to north every winter which is not possible. I am big fan of winter & snow but some how my body doesn't accept it.

Without the Winter the Spring wouldn't be as beautiful. So keep going and appreciate all that Winter has to offer. I love the cool crisp air and the beautiful white snow. thanks for sharing the pictures. We haven't had snow here yet but looking forward to it.

Our snow is on the mountains. Yes winter exercise is going to be challenging, but we can do it. Lovely pictures. The contrast to being in Hawaii is amazing!

Hope you are having a great week.

OK so you put on some extra layers and get a little jolt when you step out into the cold. But isn't there that feeling of brisk and warm at the same time? Isn't that particularly invigorating? When you are done don't you feel better than in the summer?

I ask these questions because that's the way I feel when I swim in'the winter (Florida, heated outdoor pool). I find it more fun to swim in the winter than in the summer. I usually swim in the evening to enhance the sensation.
