I have decided to keep a daily account of what I've been eating and how it has gone for the next month. This is in the first place to keep myself accountable and to track my progress on a paleo diet. I also hope I may get some good insight along the way from more experienced fellow paleo-dieters. I don't assume the world is fascinated with my daily eating habits, so if no offense if you aren't too excited by this.
Breakfast: had to make a quick get-away to the gym this morning so it was a banana and a handful of almonds. After the workout I had a "second breakfast" of @5 ounces of roast beef at the deli, some chocolate-covered coffee beans, and a cup of tea.
Lunch: my main meal of the day -- .96 lbs of salad -- mixed greens and spinach, sliced onions and carrots, mushrooms, bacon and chicken, kalamata olives, and oil & balsamic vinegar dressing. Water to drink.
Evening: snack of almonds, pecans, raisins. A hot dish of baked sweet potato chunks, and hopefully, fresh-baked "chocolate chunk paleo cookies" (using almond meal).
Also watched an interesting panel debate over "safe starches" at this past summer's "Ancestral Health Symposium" moderated by Jimmy Moore. "Food for thought."
