Starting to get cold.

Monday, November 12, 2012

Ok, well I have to admit, I'm still a bit disappointed with myself over yesterday's numbers. All I can do it work to improve.

It is really getting cold here. The wind didn't help tonight either. I had a hard time with my walk/run tonight. The wind kept taking my breathe away. I don't do well in the cold and it is starting to show. I'm not giving up on my dog walks - Tazzy needs it and so do I. I'll find a way to deal with it.

My eating is going from out of control to almost nothing. I am having a difficult time finding the balance again. I know it's there, I had it. I just need to get back to where I was. I've going back over my old food trackers, I need to find the pattern I had before.

Well, it's getting hard to type. The girls have decided I need to spend time with them.

It is supposed to get down to 28 tonight here in Southern VA! Ugh! This AM it was cold and Jack was cuddly, so I stayed in bed and read! Bad Melissa! You need to eat for energy to accomplish your goals! I know how it is.... When the Sultan wants my attention I can't type! I keep getting a nose knocking my hands off the keyboard! Insistent little suckers aren't they? You'll get back on track! don't get discouraged. We just all have "those days"! Try to stay warm! Perhaps a scarf around your mouth and nose? Oh, I need to get my push-up count today! I forgot! Yeesh! Hang in there my friend!

I happen to have confidence in you! You will make it back, only a little bump in the road! ............... Do you like some indoor stuff? ........ (That's what I do when the weather turns nasty) ...............

Sometimes it takes a little bit to get back on track. Maybe you just need to give it a little time and then get back on track again with the eating.

I'm not a huge fan of cold either, but fortunately here we don't have too many truly cold days. We have days when it feels cold, but compared to a lot of the country we've got pretty mild winters.

We do have an unending supply of wind though, and that makes it tough to want to be outside.

Your numbers aren't going to improve without practice - your run was fine, so maybe use the cold season to cut back a little on the walk/run time and increase your ST.

Great idea with back tracking your food. I hope you can find balance soon!
As for the wind I agree it's never fun trying to walk the dog when the wind is biting at your face! Nothing that a warm tea won't fix =)

    BIGPAWSUP,

I hate walking in the wind too. Anything else but wind. Saturday it was cold but I bundled up for my walk and hit the path and when I came around the corner and was walking into that very cold wind I could barely stand it. I did just my required time and headed for home asap. Usually I add a mile more but not in that cold wind. I am thinking I need to get one of those face covers to continue walking outside this winter.

Don't worry about your numbers they will get better. One day at a time I say.

A great idea to go over your old food trackers...this is one of the reasons I think a tracker or journal is such a good idea. I'm with you on the cold, I really hate to be in the cold; that's why we got the treadmill. I hope tomorrow will be warmer or at least not as windy.

Have a great evening.

The rather large temperature drop has been hurting me, too! And the wind is just killer. Here's to warm coats, snuggly hats, and functional gloves!

Same here! Last week in southern Az. Daytime temps were mid 80's and dropped into the 50's at night. This morning driving my bike to work it was 37! At freeway speeds this will bring tears to your eyes and a definite lack of feeling to your fingers.
Due to some medical issues, I have not done ANY exercise in the last 2 weeks, but for the first time in about 2 months, I am losing weight again! One way to bust a plateau!

Good idea about going back over the food trackers! I think that they are partially set up so that we can go back and see what was working and what wasn't. I think nature is trying to tell you to DOOO YOOOUR STRENNGTH TRAAINNING KITTY!!! emoticon emoticon

It's definitely a good idea to go over your old food trackers to when things were in balance. That's an excellent way to handle it!!

HUGS and good luck -- it was very cold and windy here too. My Spot the Wonder Dog was ready to head in just the second we got out the door! Maybe he IS the smarter one! LOL
