Interesting turn of events.

So the name of our new manager had been released Friday. It is someone who used to be at this location. Already have been hearing feedback from some employees that they are less than thrilled by the news. I haven't worked with this person, but had heard things were not peachy even before I was at this location with this person. Going to be very interesting how this will shake out. Trying to be neutral at this point since I wasn't here before to know what did or didn't happen between these employees and manager. But I am getting the feeling that many are hoping I will be the buffer (and schedule writer still ) between the new manager and some employees. I think I should have a sit down with my General Manager to let him know of the concerns of these employees. He was here before so he would have a better handle on the concerns I am hearing from others. I need to be able to work with this new manager and not feel like I and others will get stabbed in the back. Just the kind of feeling I am getting from the other employees. Not exactly a warm fuzzy feeling if you understand my drift.

After work today we did go back to the Costco and get a membership. Even had a 1/4 lb hotdog and pop for $1.50 for a quick dinner. Was actually very tasty and filling. We made one tiny purchase of some beef sticks to try. Will be able to buy gas now cheaper, so that should help. Thinking we will not get new tires right away, but is nice to now we have Costco as an option.

Got dark pretty quick so we didn't walk. Is cold and windy out. Got some wash going when we got home. Looks like we are in for the night. Will do some hooping for exercise. Am getting better, slow but sure. Can keep it going for almost 2-3 minutes now. That's progress!

The best I can do with hooping is with a virtual hoop on Wii-Fit. I've never gotten a real one to go, even when I was much younger and slimmer and tried my daughters' hoops. I never could do the Twist either. My hips just don't move.

Have no clue as to what hooping is all about.

Hooping is harder than it looks! Hope things turn out okay with the new manager.
